Robotics!!!!!!!
This week the sketch-up workshop took place; it was presented to us by John, Dillan, and Timmy. In this workshop I learned how to use Google sketch-up. I learned how to draw different 3 dimensional figures and alter the shape. I also learned that Robotics used the Google Sketch-up program to sketch the different things that they would like to build such as the robot. In conclusion this workshop turned out to be a complete success because I finally understood how Robotics works use this program to create all their different models with Google Sketch-up.

Programing Workshop!!!!!!
This week the programing presentation was presented to us by John. He explained to us about how programing is a very important factor in the Robotics team because without the programing factor the robot wouldn't even move. To program the robot John uses a programing language called Visual Basic. Visual Basic is a computer based program the allows users like myself to communicate with the computer. Another very important thing that I learned about while taking the workshop is that when we program the robot we are actually giving it instructions or different ways to perform a task. Its almost as if we are programing the brain of the robot or another name for it would be the motherboard. I also learned that programing is a very serious job that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Robotics!!!!!!
This week we took the Safety test, and we learned the proper way to use tools in the building workshop. The safety test was given to us by Liz and Jackie and was 15 questions overall. To tell you the truth I really don't think that I did so well on the test. I heard that the only one who actually passed the test was Alexis and that everybody else failed it;however, instead of failing the whole class Liz decided to give us all a second chance to prove her wrong. The building workshop was really rejoicing because we finally had the opportunity to use the different tools scattered all around the room. WE got the chance to use the grinder, Dremel, and the drill. The following day we got the chance to unbuild the robot, which was all presented by us by Martin, Jesus, Dillan, and Carlos.

Robotics!!!!
This week there was a safety workshop which was presented to us by Dillan and Liz. They thought us a wide variety of things such as were the tools go, the names of the different types of tools, and the standard sizes that the club uses while they are working on the Robot. The standard size for almost everything is 3/8 the red represents 3/17 and the white represent 1/2. Another thing that I learn ed during the workshop is that the work room can be really dangerous if people don't work safely. This is why Liz the Safety person keep everything in check and will kick anyone out of the room if they are playing around, or messing around with the tools. So technically she has the power to remove anyone that she disapproves of. So, to do so Liz said that she is going to give us a test, and that if we don't pass it we aren't allowed t o work in the building room which really sucks. Anyways today we watched a very interesting movie about these some guys that got stranded in the desert. The funniest part is that the guy that is supposed to know about airplanes only actually creates toy airplanes not real airplanes. Ha-ha
